Casino is a display font family with vintage look inspired by western old style signage.  FS Champions - Custom Typeface of UEFA Champions League 

UEFA and design agency Radiant Studios asked us to begin exploring the potential for a bespoke font family for the UEFA Champions League brand identity. The tournament’s logotype uses a traditional serif font style with a bold and elegant football that is suggested by a pattern of stars. These elements serve their purpose as a symbol of the world’s best club football competition. The challenge for us was to maintain and carry over this prestige into a typographic personality whilst subtly modernising and injecting energy into the brand.

Monument Grotesk Font Family

Monument Grotesk owes its point de départ to a few contours Kasper-Florio stumbled upon online in 2013 in Palmer & Rey’s New Specimen Book, 1884, on page 81. It relied on a sturdy and compact skeleton, high vertical contrast and surprisingly sharp end strokes. The “o” “c” and “e”, with their squarish inner counters pressing against their outer parts, or the elongated “r”, in particular, gave reason for a couple of screenshots, and later, a digitisation.

 Mascara Font Family 

The way such things are built is usually quite simple, given the right software and/or tools. In this case, we superimposed the drawings from two of our unfinished script fonts, and merged their outlines to end up with a result of branches, grass, roots, or whatever it is one sees around the letter forms.

Schnyder X Condensed Font Family

Schnyder was designed by Berton Hasebe and Christian Schwartz for the 2013 top-to-bottom redesign of T, the New York Times Style Magazine by creative director Patrick Li and his team. This typeface exists comfortably in the grey area between type and lettering, drawing inspiration from Beaux Arts-era typefaces and a piece of pointed pen lettering from Switzerland that was very precise in its thick and thin strokes, but with organic and unusual structures for invidvidual letters and great variations in character widths from line to line.

Perfil Font
