Basis Grotesque Font Family
Originally drawn in a Regular weight for the comprehensive re-design of photography magazine HOTSHOE, we are pleased to release BASIS GROTESQUE commercially, some three years after its initial conception. Over the course of the past 36 months, we’ve exhaustively refined and extended the family into a 16-style brood, and in-so-doing have had the opportunity to test all iterations and sub-iterations of BASIS GROTESQUE across countless platforms, printed and otherwise. Initial points of inspiration — among them Akzidenz and various early Grotesques from Monotype — were ultimately eschewed-but-honored to create something slightly more behaved and shapely. An intentional skeletal similarity among the weights prompts an otherwise truly diverse clan of types, ranging from Light to Black with corresponding Italics, and complemented by Monospaced cuts in both Regular and Bold weights (also with partner Italics, of course). Extensive OpenType features abound, and support for both Cyrillic and Greek are available in all Pro styles.

An excellent example of early 1900’s sign artistry. This Letterhead Fonts' revised version of Mike Henderson’s bold font features all new spacing, kerning and improved characters. Includes 6 alternates.
LP Horizont Caps Font
LP Horizont Caps is another new font creation from German designer Peter Langpeter (lp-design.de). LP has been running his own design studio since 1995, working as a typeface and logo designer, as a calligrapher, cartographer and illustrator. During this time LP created a large number of excellent new typeface designs. LP Horizont Caps is a very futuristic looking, sharp and elegant sans serif.
FR Hopper Font Family
FR Hopper is the biggest release of Faberfonts Foundry since its opening. The project started as a quest for cool and neutral thin sans capital forms and proportions more than a year ago. Since then, lots of things have changed and have been added, and the project has grown into a project as complex and prolonged as nothing else before here in the studio of Faberfonts. FR Hopper is a sans based on geometric forms still having a friendly personality. It is intended for mid-length texts, captions, titles and almost any other occasional use - posters, flyers and even for web sites. FR Hopper comes in 7 weights, 12 styles with 836 glyphs - that means 10,032 glyphs ready to use for your projects - and many advanced OT-features such as small caps, discretionary ligatures, alternate characters, fractions, arrows, ornaments and more - in all styles. It supports Extended Latin-A and Latin-B character sets and more than 100 languages. Italics are based on carefully slanted roman versions but come with many cursive characters drawn from the ground up. It provides enough of a difference to the italics to stand out successfully from the romans - or attract by their own charm. All the styles are hand-kerned carefully. As two of the styles - FR Hopper 430 and 431 - come as free fonts, you can download and test these before deciding to buy any other styles.

United Serif Font Family
Like most military actions, United started out as a simple typographical incursion that became entrenched in the House Industries quagmire of creative projects. After we used early versions in a clothing company logo, the family drew national attention as it was selected to appear in the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum 2003 Triennial show. Tal Leming toiled for the next three years to build on the original concept and develop one of the most extensive font families available anywhere. United boasts three different styles, each with seven weights and five widths for a total of 105 fonts for the entire collection.

Conceived by Korean-born, New York-based Hoon Kim of design consultancy Why Not Smile, PIN is a three-weight, nine-cut family of geometric sans-serif types. The design, available in dot-matrix, stencil, and solid variations, is based on an expanding grid in which each weight rests comfortably within the other, expanding out from the stroke’s center-point. Initiated by Kim after a chance look towards the ceiling in a London tube station—which revealed a circular, 24-bulb chandelier above—the project started with a 16-node variation on a geometric dot matrix and grew from there to ultimately include three styles and three weights, each applicable across body copy, headlines, and tables. With a nearly monolinear stroke width and unique construction, PIN is intended to be mixed and matched liberally: lighter weights adjacent to darker ones, stencil alongside solid, etcetera—a type family in the traditional sense of the word. PIN is available in three styles and three weights, comprising a family of nine cuts, each with wide language support and generous OpenType features.
Peggs Font
Using old typewriter fonts as a reference, a new typewriter-esque font was created. Initially created in a bold weight for the identity of ‘Peggs & son.’, the typeface was lightened to a regular weight and an extended character set created. Using the crassness of printed typewriter faces, certain bowls of the letterforms don’t connect to create a unique attribute to the typeface.
