Grafista is an extrapolation on what fonts are used for: in spite of the possibility to use it for setting text, Grafista strives when used as a texture library, the same way that one would set up tiles. Thus, Grafista was built as two different things compiled in the same font: the letterforms (for setting text) and the texture library. Both of the sets are monospaced (with every glyph having the same width), but the letterforms are half of the texture tilesí width. On the tech side, the letterformsí are 500/1000 UPMs, while the tiles are 1000/1000 UPMs.

This was the original description given when the face was released, and it proved quite prophetic as the typeface has been used all over the world in just about every industry. You can get a small taste of its versatility by checking out the face in use. The full version is an extension of the original face, but it is also a re-working of it. Optical adjustments provide for a more legible face, and one that plays nicely in different weights. Rounded corners have given way to decisive edges and deliberate angles. Each weight speaks a distinct language on its own, but mixing the weights provides for an engaging texture and solid balance of legibility and power that works hard for you.  Taglio Font

Taglio’s name is derived from intaglio, which means “incised carving” or “an impression from an engraving”. Indeed, Taglio looks like an incised engraving with a contemporary calligraphic interpretation. The down strokes start with a single horizontal line that curves into a dual vertical line and ends with the same single line at the base. The dual elongated strokes create a bold overall impression but is literally twice as sophisticated than if the two lines were solid. That was exactly the goal in creating this font. We managed to create a font that is distinctive, elegant, and crisp that is also intentionally stencilled for more flexibility. For instance, it is ideal for laser cutting signage. One of the unique features in using the capital glyphs is that they stack perfectly without losing legibility, primarily because of the slanted ends of the dual vertical lines - see the example “Miami Fashion Week” display ad. Taglio’s unusual style was carefully crafted to come to life at display sizes.
