Epoca-Classic, designed in 2012, is the contrasted sister of Epoca, also suited for text and display. Our Peralta Pro was inspired by egyptian slab serif letterforms, yet have a haywire disregard for classic balance. You'll find that Capitals and Lowercase have opposite weight distributions, as well as an all-around offbeat nature, and yet it all works to create a delightfully comic typeface. The SmallCaps and extensive figure sets help to offer a little more serious of a persona to this otherwise wild child typestyle.
Handwriting of a strong Carelian personality revived: It all started with this Soviet postcard I got from my aunt Katri more than twenty years ago inviting me come to Carelia in autumn. Katri had a very kind but also energetic personality, and I felt her handwriting is a mirror of it. By making “SyysScript”, based on Katri’s handwriting, I felt I could revive some of her unforgettable character. The name “SyysScript” is Finnish and translates as “Script of Autumn” – Katri’s favorite season – harvesting time, time for collecting the fruits of nature in the forest and the garden.

It pays again tribute to the geometric shapes of Futura, Avant Garde, Avenir and the like. However, instead of again resulting in a modern interpretation of the geometric genre, Galano Classic prefers to stay in the past, characterized by a moderate x-height and details like the long stretched leg of uppercase “R”, as well as the traditional shaped lowercase “g”, to mention only a few.

Our Luckiest Softie Pro is a softened variation of our Luckiest Guy Pro typeface, inspired by hand-lettered vintage 1950’s advertisement. The charm of the original typeface is enhanced with softened corners to give the typeface a more cuddly charisma.
Reverie is a cheerful band of letters that bounce across the page and get together to create words in four weights. Generous spacing and a modest x-height project an airy typeface that’s open but not frail. Quirky without being too whimsical. Use the regular weight for surprisingly readable text or put the light and heavy weights to use for decorative headlines and titles.

Savigny began as an offshoot of Le Havre. Le Havre met my design objective of a geometric sans serif with a strong art deco touch. Le Havre’s primary inspiration came from the art deco titling of the 1930’s, and the lower case was just icing. The art of the 1930’s is of particular interest to me, and I love the art deco era and its art, and the simplicity of geometric shapes. I am mostly interested in designing display typefaces. In many ways Le Havre was the exact opposite of another popular insigne offering, Aviano Sans. Le Havre has very high ascenders, a lower case and is very condensed. Aviano Sans has no lowercase and extremely extended capitals.
