Hedra Font Family

Hedra is an experimental sans with monolinear strokes mixing two typographic strands. On the one hand, the letterforms are very geometric: ‘O’ and ‘o’ are nearly perfect circles with just a small bit of optical correction to make them more readable. Together with the common ‘diagonal nature’ applied to some letter parts, Hedra feels quite technical and text set in it even almost looks futuristic. On the other hand, the letterforms incorporate some art nouveau qualities: the diagonals inside the ‘A’, ’B’ and ‘E’ are more historic than technical, while the ‘K’, ‘V’, and ‘W’ all have some unconventional rounded elements that seem like call-backs to the beginning of the twentieth century. Via an OpenType feature, users can make text look more technical and less historical if desired: Stylistic Set 1 replaces the curved-diagonal ‘K’, ‘X’, ‘Y’, ‘k’, and ‘x’ with straight-diagonal alternates.

Fielder Font Family

Fielder is a sans with an instantly-recognisable source of inspiration from the world of athletics. That’s right: this is a display typeface designed for sports jerseys! All the letterforms’ curves have been straightened out into horizontal and vertical lines, held together by some diagonal elements. While most letters from Fiedler have been drawn in a monolinear way, there are a few cases where strokes have been thinned down, to prevent the overall letterform from getting too dark. Have a look at the crossbars on the ‘a’ and ‘e’, for instance. Fielder includes several nice alternates. For instance, one Stylistic Set will replace the standard ‘G’ with a version that has an added beard, but no crossbar. Another includes an ‘L’ whose right-hand side curves up a bit. A third Stylistic Set has alternate forms for ‘M’ and ‘N’, while the fourth includes an alternate ‘R’, the fifth a ‘T’ with curled arms, and the sixth has a closed-topped ‘4’.

Sapien Font Family

Sapien is a serif family for texts intended for immersive reading. It is great for things you want people to sink their teeth into. The font’s glyphs are a little wide, in terms of their proportion, and this makes them look robust. Sapien’s capital letters can all stand on their own, for instance – they do not look delicate, like a light breeze would blow them over. That visual stability helps Sapien hold up even under poor printing conditions. The letters’ counterforms are large and these features and more help Sapien look great on-screen, too. The italic ‘g’ has an iconic closed-bowl design. The italic ampersand also uses a different form than the upright fonts, which looks divine. Sapien’s default numerals are proportional lining figures; oldstyle figures are available via an OpenType alternate. There are 14 f-ligatures in each fonts’ OpenType features (liga and dlig), and Sapien includes a few more alternates as well. For instance, over the Stylistic Sets, users can reach an ‘M’ with straight sides, as well as an alternate ‘Q’ with a longer tail.

Hi everyone, this time we made a font of ink streaks on paper. We created this font using a brush. We love to make it, because this is a work of art itself. Making it through a long process.
