Familiar Pro Font Family $50 | 8 x TTF and OTF

This family was inspired by a Type Battle over at Typophile: How would you design a font metrically compatible with Helvetica, but better than Arial? Working with preset letter widths was an interesting constraint, both a relief and a limitation at the same time.

I have done all the 4 basic weights, and the skewed obliques (done to a slightly less steep 10 degrees angle as opposed to the originals 12) has been optically adjusted. The letters have been designed quite close to the german/swiss grotesk tradition, but by using super-elliptical rounds, rounded dots and slightly curved outer diagonals the end result is a friendly looking font family that still looks... familiar.

Like many of southern hemisphere beeches, the Lenga beech is fast growing and hardy, making it an ideal timber tree. It regenerates easily after fires. The wood has good quality, moderate durable, and easy to work.

New Age Gothic is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It is a contemporary gothic design based on generous proportions and clean crisp lines. Ideally suited for easy reading and long lines of copy. Alex felt that the skeleton for Contax Pro was ideally suited to modify the design into a true gothic companion typeface series. Numerous modifications where made to the body proportions, stems and shapes. Serifs where added reminiscent to Copperplate Gothic to solidify the overall design. In medieval manuscripts, scribers often used varying shapes for the majuscules. The same letter could appear in different forms within the same word. This was a good solution for managing space, but scribers also seemed to really enjoy variety and improvisation. In the same composition, the letter shapes could range from simpler square capitals, to uncials, or more decorative lombardic capitals.

Litania is a typographic experiment that draws on this idea of variation. It carries two complete sets of uppercase letters. One is a set of Roman Capitals, the other a set of Lombardic Capitals. To make them match when set together, proportions were normalized, the decorative features of the Lombardic Capitals were tamed, and the same serif shapes were used for both forms.The lowercase letters were designed to match this couple. They were inspired by a transitional form of carolingian minuscules, but serifs were added as well. When set in text they evoke a bit of the texture of medieval manuscripts, but are a free interpretation historical models, emphasizing the experimental spirit of the typeface.

Hazelnut Pro Font Family

This small family can be counted as 4 fonts in 2. Because both weights contain small caps, 12 sets of stylistic alternates, and a decorative swashed form. That’s not counting dozens of ligatures in both multilingual latin and Cyrillic scripts. Plus ordinals, case-sensitive forms, and manual hinting. Due to its geometric nature, designers can manipulate vectors to change �������� dimensions for logotypes. They may seem modular, but every glyph was ����� individually to give handmade imperfections, reminiscent of wood type press. ���� allows for plenty of details at large sizes. Regular versions are multilingual but include only standard ligatures ��� case-sensitive forms.

Graceful

Graceful is a script typeface with a combination of formal and personal touch.
